Learn to digitize embroidery designs in our one-day workshop! The workshops are a "hands-on", teacher guided day where you digitize different pieces of artwork and learn the basics of creating your own embroidery designs.
Classes move around the country as our schedule permits. Watch our calendar for where we will be next or click on the "Class Dates & Locations" link in the menu across the top of this site.
A Brief Summary Of Your Workshop Day...
Our workshops are "hands-on" computer training so the classes are kept small and personal, limited to just 8 to 10 students so you get lots of personal attention. The day starts at 7:30 am when you set your computer up in the workshop room and we load top-of-the-line digitizing software for you. The class time starts promptly at 8:00 am and a few minutes later you are digitizing your first design!
As you are learning how to use the various tools throughout the day, Holly also teaches you the important details you need to know about density, stitch angles, overlaps, pull-compensation and many other secrets of digitizing that you need to know in order to succeed.
By noon you will have digitized your first few designs and will understand what digitizing is all about. Join Holly for lunch at a nearby restaurant (or in the hotel restaurant if there is one on premises) where you get to know her and your classmates better.
In the afternoon session you will complete more designs as Holly teaches you how to use the really fun tools needed to create fancy fills, motifs, redwork, appliques designs and much more.
The seminar ends at 5:00 pm. By then you will have a good understanding of how to create your own designs and how to continue your digitizing education with us in our intermediate level workshops, in our disk-based programs, or via the web.
