If you break a needle while stitching out a design (see "Needle Selection" tip) then be SURE you remove all the pieces of the needle from the stitching area and the special Fuwari pad. If you leave it in, then the finishing process will not work properly, causing your design to have a flaw.
When we finish designs in our shop, we run the design under a metal detector first. Your local dealer may do the same thing if they are finishing your designs, but rather than have them "reject" your design, you should remove any broken needle pieces that you can find yourself. You may not see a needle piece, but you can usually feel them by squeezing the design area.
